Working with namespaces

When you first install CDAP, you’ll see a namespace called default. You can work in the default namespace, but you’ll probably want to create other namespaces. For example, you might have a namespace for Development, one for Testing, and one for Production.

Creating a namespace

To create a namespace, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Hamburger menu.

  2. In the Namespace section, click the down arrow.

  3. Click Add Namespace.

  4. Enter a name and description and complete the optional configuration steps.

Switching namespaces

To switch namespaces, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Hamburger menu, click the down arrow, and click the namespace you want to switch to.

CDAP displays the name of the current namespace at the bottom of the screen.
