Adding a lot multiple metrics messes up the chart

Description

Add multiple metrics to a widget. It messes up the chart. Please see screen shot.

Either we should limit the number of metrics or display it in a clean way.

We would need limits. The limits cannot be 4. We should display for whatever max limit in a nice way.
Ok to move it to 3.4.0 if this is much work in 3.3.1

We could:

1. Limit the number of metrics that can be added to a chart.

What is most common, useful amount? 4?
2. Automatically scale chart size to accommodate large number of metrics.

So, the question is: how important is having multiple metrics on a chart to users?
