Turns out to have been a "broken" tab. If I spawn a new tab or window then all is well.
Just close this issue.

If the browser (chrome) is reduced in width to where the namespace drop down is partially, or fully hidden, selecting it results in a message: only one namespace to display, even through there are multiple namespaces available.
