Today CDAP services automatically restart on errors. However, this can lead to service going into a constant restart loop due to an underlying unresolved issue. Service checks may return OK in such a case, even though the service is not really usable.
We need to provide some kind of check (uptime metric, or something) that can be used to detect such restart loops.
