Unable to edit pipeline json when a stage name contains a period

Description

A pipeline with a stage name/label with a period such as 1. can be saved and deployed. When we try to edit the same pipeline it disappears from the UI.

On a similar note, if we try to import a pipeline json with such labels for a stage, it displays a blank screen.
