CDAP Sandbox
Use the CDAP Sandbox to get started developing data pipelines and replication pipelines. The CDAP Sandbox is designed for development only. You can run a couple of pipelines concurrently. If you want to run lots of pipelines concurrently, you need to use a compute profile to have pipeline execution outside of the docker image and VM image. Likewise, for the standalone version of CDAP Sandbox, you’ll to use a compute profile, such as Dataproc on GCP, if you want to run more than a couple pipelines concurrently.
There are three ways to download and install the CDAP Sandbox:
as a binary zip file (Linux and Mac OSX only)
as a Docker image
If you already have a development environment set up, the zip file is your easiest solution.
If you don't have a development environment, the Virtual Machine image offers a pre-configured environment with CDAP pre-installed and that automatically starts applications so that you can be productive immediately. You can build your own projects or follow the provided example applications.
